In plain language, and short on purpose. Last updated 3 August 2026.

I am Ricardo Zaal. I coach men one on one from Pretoria North, South Africa. This page explains what happens to anything you give me on this website. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act, which South Africans call POPIA.

What I collect

Only what you type in yourself, and only on the pages that ask:

Your name.
Your WhatsApp number, or your email address, or both. One of the two, so that I can reply to you.
If you take the check, your answers to it.
If you book a call, the time you chose and anything you wrote about what is going on.

I do not ask for your identity number, your address, or anything about your money.

What I do with it

I read it, so that when we speak I already know something about why you came.
I contact you about the thing you contacted me about. Nothing else.
If you gave an email and took the check, I send you your own result.

What I do not do with it

I do not sell it. Not to anybody, at any price.
I do not share it with any other person or company.
I do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
I do not use your story in a sermon, a video, or on this website unless I have asked you and you have said yes.

Where it is kept

Your details sit in a secured database (Supabase) that only I can read, and in my own calendar if you booked a call. Both are protected by passwords and encryption. I keep them for as long as we may still be working together, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.

What you can ask me to do

POPIA gives you these rights and I will not make you fight for any of them:

Ask me what I have about you, and I will send it to you.
Ask me to correct something that is wrong.
Ask me to delete everything, and I will, and I will confirm when it is done.
Tell me to stop contacting you, and I stop.

The one exception to confidentiality

What you tell me stays with me. There are two exceptions, and they are the same two any honest person has: where the law requires me to disclose something, and where somebody is in serious and immediate danger. I would rather tell you that up front than promise you something I cannot keep.

This is not therapy
